About Me
I am a Bangladeshi American women artist based in Houston, Texas. I was born & raised in Bangladesh and went to The College of Fine Arts, Dhaka University, the premier art institute of the country. My father encouraged me to enter the world of arts as I had shown early interest in it Arts & Crafts during my school days. I finished my B.A. in Fine Arts there embarking on an artist’s career path.
Then I got a scholarship to study Fine Arts in the City University, New York City, USA where I did my Master in Fine Arts. I did several art exhibitions & shows in the New York city area.
Then began my married life and I lived with my NASA scientist husband, Ehtesham Hayder, Ph.D, in different states of USA – Virginia, Ohio and then Texas. I continued my art works and exhibitions during these time as my husband was very supportive of my art work and loved & cherished arts. Then our Middle East journey began in 2001. I lived with my husband Ehtesham Hayder in Daharan, Saudi Arabia at Aramco campus where he was employed for 15 years from 2001-2015. I continued art work, exhibitions and teaching in Saudi Arabia. Upon our return to USA, I have been doing art and painting work in Houston, Texas, a city with a very rich set of Art Galleries.
My art work has been exhibited and sold in USA, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh and India.
